

She was born to John and Mary Jane Campbell on February 8, 1919 in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland.
Brigid was one of 11 children, and immigrated to Alberta, Canada at the age of 12 and shortly after to North Dakota.
Brigid became a registered nurse and joined the US Army Nursing Corps, serving in Europe during WWII.
She married Dr. William F. Gorman in 1953. Together they raised two daughters in Seattle.
Brigid and her daughters were as tight as an Irish knit sweater. She was an active member of
St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Seattle.
Brigid moved to Yakima in 2007. She spent the last few years living at Englewood Heights Assisted Living,
where she made good friends.
Her faith was an inspiration. Brigid was an avid follower of politics and current events.
She was a faithful friend, who loved sharing bridge games and good Manhattans.
Her two grandchildren were the apple of her eye and she cherished visits with them.
Her two great-grandsons brought her much joy during the last two years.
Brigid was a strong, proud Irish woman, with a good sense of humor who will be greatly missed.
Brigid was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Gorman. She is survived by her two daughters, Shannon (Gene) Beireis of Yakima, and Molly (Gary) Engen of Kent; grandchildren Monica (Jerry) DeShazer of Vancouver, and Kevin (Gianna) Beireis of Seattle; two great-grandsons Jace and Jantzen DeShazer; goddaughter Maureen Liang of Yakima; siblings John (Rita) Campbell, BC Canada, Helen Reich, ND and Molly Engel and Teresa Howden, Saskatchewan Canada.
The family wishes to thank Englewood Heights and Landmark Care Center for their caring support.
A Catholic memorial Mass will be held in Seattle in July.
