Carol Ivy Erdman, 78, of Yakima was called to peace by her Lord on December 25th 2011 at home with her family surrounding her. She enjoyed many things in her life and the closeness of family, especially on holidays. She had always said she would have one more Christmas and our gracious Lord gave us that gift.
Carol was born September 4th, 1933 to Paul and Ruby Sellers and adopted by Ajah King of Goldendale. Carol was preceded in death by her sister Lora and stepbrother Mervyn; may they all be together now. At the age of 16, Carol was involved in an accident on their farm losing both of her arms, and with other medical conditions that followed she still had a real love for life which also led to the birth of her daughters Randie Gaddis and Colleen Wimbs. Carol also finished her Masters degree in psychology. She had moved around before retiring in Yakima, but that love for life wouldn’t let her stay put so she bought a 32’ RV, joined an RV club and hit the road. She would tell us about the places she had been and the nice people she would meet. Thank you to all who helped her on the road.
Carol will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a strong minded firecracker of a woman and the Lord is gonna have His hands full with her.
Graveside Inurnment will be held on Tuesday January 3rd, 2012 at West Hills Memorial Park at 1:00. Arrangements are under the care of Keith and Keith Funeral Home. To share a memory of Carol visit www.keithandkeith.com.
