Charles was born in Twisp Washington and later moved to Yakima. Charles married his life long love on Sept. 10, 1966, Alice Fidler; they had three daughters whom he loved very much.
Charles worked for Orchard Masters for fifteen years and part of that time he was in management, he was there until the business closed. He then worked for Doug LaRock Enterprises, which he thought of as his family. Charles started his own business C&S Repairs where he was known as the jack of all trades and the master of all. He worked mainly as a mechanic and welder all his life. Later he went to work for Hanford where he retired as a pipe fitter.
Charles touched so many lives he always knew what to say and when to say it and comforted all. Charles was a member of Yakima’s Seventh Day Baptist Church on Lower Ahtanum Road. Charles was always full of life, love, and laughter and would give the shirt off his back to a stranger if he thought it would help.
Charles was the most amazing husband, greatest daddy and the world’s best grandpa. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and most of all, his best friend Baby his Doberman. He always said he never thought he could love a dog as much as he loved her. He also loved playing with his grandkids, camping, shooting, fishing, and just tinkering around in his shop fixing things. Everyone loved being around him and he will remain in our hearts forever. He will be missed very much.
Charles was preceded in death by his father Wilbert Stanford, brother Larry Stanford, Grandma and Grandpa Bennett and his mother in law and father in law Harold and Alice Fidler.
