Dorothy Louise Loomis Carter

Dorothy grew up around the Toppenish area where she met Karl McKee Carter and they became sweethearts when she was in Junior High and through High School. They married after she graduated, June 21, 1944. They lived in Pasco, Washington for several years while the kids were growing up, then relocated to Lynwood, Washington where they both worked for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints until they retired. They then moved to Yakima, Washington around 1989/90 and have lived there up to the time of her passing.

Karl and Dorothy have six children Clayton (Jean), Sharon (Michael O'Berry), Dan (Janean), Fred (Shari), Curt (Peggy), Randy (Leanne).

Dorothy loved gardening, her dogs and her grandchildren and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Dorothy is survived by her only sister Wanda Orr of Vancouver, Washington and her six children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Noon to 5:00 p.m. Sunday June 12, 2016 at Keith & Keith Funeral Home.

A Graveside Service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday June 13th at West Hills Memorial Park.
