

Edmund "Burke" Lynch 86, passed away peacefully during the early morning hours of April 30, 2015, following a lengthy illness. He was born in Ladoga Indiana to Fleming and Thelma Lynch. He attended high school in Rushville Indiana, later attending Canterbury College in Danville Indiana.
Burke enlisted in the United States Army as an enlisted man rising through the ranks attaining the rank of Major, before retiring after 20 years of service. After his retirement Burke and the love of his life, Joyce moved to Yakima, Wa. He worked in real estate, construction and as an accounts payable manager for the Noel Corporation.
Burke was very active in the community, especially at the Yakima Country Club where he enjoyed many activities, especially golf. He was a 32nd Degree Mason in Springfield, Illinois. In addition to his passion for golf he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Joyce, numerous nieces and nephews as well as his loyal Siamese cat "General Chang".
He was preceded in death by both of his parents and brothers Jack and Paul.
The family would like to express their appreciation to his many doctors, caregivers and therapists during the past several years as well as the Cottage InThe Meadow Hospice Center.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Union Gospel Mission, Yakima, Wa.
A celebration of life will be held at the Yakima Country Club on Friday May 8th, 5:30-7:30 PM.
