Ella Cruce

Ella worked as a waitress at the Black Angus Restaurant for over 20 years and retired in 1977. She was an avid fan of Duke Basketball and one of her most cherished possessions was a personally signed picture of Coach K and their championship trophies. She also loved to watch Seattle Mariner and Seattle Seahawk games. One of Ella’s most cherished moments was when her great great nieces Abigail and Madison Huri and Makenzie Gunoe would dance for her and make her laugh.

Ella is survived by her son Gary Cruce of Vancouver WA along with grandsons Brett, Bart and Brad Cruce all of Vancouver. She is also survived by her special niece Julie (Mike) Huri of Selah and nephew Lowell (Peg) Gunnoe of Ellensburg along with several other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Orlan Cruce and 11 brothers and sisters.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to Nat and Aledia of Memorial Hospice along with Patti, Ashley, Michelle, Sabrina, Denise and Amy at Summitview Health Care. Also special thanks to our work families at Yakima Vision Center and Cintas for their love and support.

At Ella’s request there will a private interment at the Zillah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Memorial Hospice.
