Married to Juan Osvaldo Avena Flores in Mexico.
Raised 5 children: Lily, Juan Miguel, Carlos, Etel, and Viry.
Her children blessed her with 17 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
Throughout her life, Mama Vira held various church callings, including: Stake Relief Society Counselor, Ward Relief Society President, Ward Relief Society Counselor, Ward Primary President, Ward Primary Teacher, Ward Sunday School Teacher, and Cub Scout Leader.
Hobbies included canning fruit, sewing, quilting, and cross stitching.
Everyone who met her, saw her as their grandmother, and a source of wisdom and spiritual guidance.
She was loved by all whose lives she touched.
