His siblings Vern, Jane, Pam and Nancy and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by daughter Dani, grandson Sean, brother Gary, sister Liz and his parents.
Daniel was born on December 20th, 1946 in Yellville, Arkansas. He moved to the Yakima Valley with his family in 1954. He grew up in the Cowiche area. Where he made some life-long friends, he keeps in touch with many of them. He made friends easily and was a good friend. He enjoyed sharing stories with his grandchildren who he loved and appreciated and anyone who wanted to know him. He loved being a dad to his girls. He always wanted them to be happy in what ever they chose to do. Janel has been a great blessing, she and her family have done so much to help as he got weaker and more dependent on others for his daily needs. Especially Spencer, who was available and helped in assisting with daily care.
Daniel joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 22 years ago, he knew it was the True church and liked to share the gospel with others. He always loved to help others in any way he could. The Church gave him more opportunities to serve others. Mosiah 2:17 "Behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom, that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are in the service of your God." He loved sharing his knowledge, and opinions. He was a man of many talents. He enjoyed finishing a job or project. "A job worth doing is worth doing well." He spent his working years in many automotive fields. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and just hanging out with friends and family. He had a great since of humor, loved telling jokes. He always had a positive attitude, until these last few months. He became very negative about so many things, Parkinson's took away his joy and his hope. Parkinson's was winning! He worried about everyone's welfare and the future of our country. He hated asking for help, he didn't like to admit his physical and cognitive weakness. His biggest worry and concern was for Joan and her wellness. Finally he just wanted to go to sleep. He spent his last days saying goodbyes to loved ones. He said he was ready to join those who were waiting for him. He would ask, "can't you see them, they are right there!" he said he could feel their presence. He is and was loved, gone but never forgotten. Be at Peace my Love, my Friend as you serve on the other side.
