
She graduated from Yakima High School in 1931. Gladys was united with Edwin Austin Patrick Bond on October 1, 1948 at the First Presbyterian Church in Yakima, WA.
Gladys was very active in 1st Order of Eastern Star. She was also the secretary at the Salvation Army. Gladys enjoyed camping and traveling in the RV.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, 2 brothers, her husband, Edwin A. Bond and her daughter, Pearl O. McClaskey.
Gladys was survived by her daughters, Gloria Powell of Gig Harbor and Mary Yates of McCleary, WA; a son, Phillip Simon of Endicott, WA; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Keith & Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. A Graveside Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 10, 2011 at the Tahoma Cemetery. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Keith and Keith Funeral Home.
