

Grace and twin sister Gladys were born June 1917 in Davenport, Washington. She and her 8 siblings were raised on a wheat and cattle ranch.
After graduating from Davenport High, Grace traveled to Spokane and attended 2 years of Secretarial School.
On July 5, 1941 Grace married Lawrence Rutherford and in the spring of 1946 they moved to Yakima where they farmed apples and pears for the next 40 years. For 20 of those years, Grace worked for Production Credit Union (PCA) as a loan secretary.
Upon retirement from farming, Grace and Lawrence traveled and enjoyed time spent with their children and grandchildren.
Grace E. Rutherford from Yakima left this earth and went to be with the Lord on December 10, 2015 at the age of 98-1/2.

Grace is survived by her twin sister Gladys Huffman (Eugene, OR), brother Bud Reinbold (Spokane, WA), daughter Karlene (Gary) Utter of Moses Lake and son Ron (Barb) Rutherford of Yakima, grandchildren Mason (Amy) Utter, Mary (Dan) Price, Sandy (Ken) Thomason, Susan Rutherford-Fate, William Rutherford, and eight great grandchildren.
A funeral service and reception will be held December 18, 2015 at 11 AM at Central Lutheran Church (16th And Yakima Ave). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Central Lutheran Church or the Union Gospel Mission.
