

Gregory grew up in Yakima County, Washington, with his 7 brothers and sisters. As a young man he served his country as a member of the United States Navy. After earning his GED and an AA from Yakima Valley College, he worked as an Employment Specialist for many years. He greatly enjoyed the years he spent helping others to find work and start careers. A free spirit throughout his life, Gregory’s greatest passions in life were fishing, nature, Western films, and spending quality time with his family.
Gregory was a cherished father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents Antonio and Rose Valenzuela, his older brothers Primitivo and Simon Valenzuela, and his daughter Mary Francis Valenzuela. He is survived by his life partner Tina Valenzuela, his remaining siblings Eva, Eleanor, Angie, Fred, and Joe as well as his children Federico (Glenda), Barbara, and Gregory (and his mother Kathleen). His legacy will also be preserved by his 4 grandchildren David Blodgett (Kristen), Simon Blodgett, Jasen Valenzuela (Paige), and Jerad Valenzuela as well as his numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A visitation for Gregory will be held Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Langevin El Paraiso Funeral Home, 1010 West Yakima Ave, Yakima, WA 98902. A funeral mass will occur Friday, June 20, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 212 N 4th St, Yakima, WA 98901. A graveside service will occur Friday, June 20, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Calvary Cemetery, Yakima, WA 98902.
