Ray is survived by his son, Brian Casey (Ann) Hill, his daughter, Cheree Lyne (Ryan) Dennison, his twin brother, Jerry (Karen) Hill, and four sisters, Linda (George) Cunningham, Delores (Jerry) Butler, Guyila (Ken) Ream, and Karen (Darrell) Layman. He is also survived by his grandsons, Jaden Hill and Kody Walden, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Laura Hill.
Ray enjoyed fishing and hunting with his brother Jerry. He was a US Army veteran, who served two tours in Vietnam before a medical discharge. He was very proud of his military service – you may have seen his Jeep around town with the Vietnam Veteran decals on it.
Ray worked at Longview Fibre for over 30 years before retiring. He was a long-time member of the Yakima Ridge Runners Jeep Club, and an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
A celebration of life will be held at the Yakima Eagles Lodge (307 W. Chestnut) at 1:00pm on Monday, May 7, 2018.
