

She was born in Marion County, Arkansas on September 18, 1924 to James Richard and Lillie Ivon Parker. Hazel moved to Yakima after graduating from high school. She met Matt Miller in 1946 and they married June 5, 1948.
Hazel was a very active member of the United Wesley Methodist Church where she volunteered many hours to various church functions. She loved camping and fishing with family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening and bowling for many years.
Hazel is preceded in death by her husband and brother. She is survived by her children, Glenn (Joyce) Miller, Ronald (Cheryl) Miller, Marsha Miller, Allen (Carol) Miller, Brian (Kris) Miller and sister, Hortense Sullivan. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
We would like to thank James and his staff at Apple Creek for the care and compassion that they have given to our mother and grandmother. It is deeply appreciated by all of the family.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 21, 2015 at Langevin El Paraiso Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Yakima. Concluding services will be held at West Hills Memorial Park.
