Heidi K. Keck Garcia

Heidi Katheryn Keck Garcia, 28, of Yakima, WA, went home to the loving arms of her Savior Jesus Christ, Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Yakima Regional Medical Center.

Heidi was born March 15, 1982 in Yakima, WA to R. Daniel and Katheryn (Hughes) Keck. Heidi was raised and educated in Yakima, attending Wide Hollow Elementary, West Valley Junior High and graduated from West Valley High School in 2000. She graduated from Central Washington University in 2004 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. Heidi excelled in volleyball from third grade through high school leading West Valley Rams in the third place State Championship Tournament and many years traveling with Team Yakima. Her love of volleyball continued into her college years, where she received many awards and recognitions. Heidi was proud of being one of three freshman selected to travel with Central’s Volleyball T eam. She had a God given gift of being a caregiver and helping others. Heidi had a huge heart and was full of life. She was witty, funny and had a great sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Heidi’s greatest joy and the love of her life was being with her son Aiden.

She was survived by her husband, Salvador Garcia, son, Aiden Alexander Garcia and stepson Jayson Garcia, all of Wapato; parents, Dan and Katheryn Keck of Yakima, a sister, Nicole (Shawn) Edelman of Des Moines, WA, Matthew (Katie) Keck of Mentone, CA and Adam Keck of Seattle; a niece Quinn Daniel Katheryn Edelman, and nephews, Gavin Daniel Keck, Brandon Edelman and Joshua Edelman; also many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, premature baby sister, two uncles, and an aunt.

Mass of Christian Burial and Celebration of Heidi’s life will be held Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church Chapel. Inurnment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
