
Irene Horst Templin Burke, 91, of Yakima passed away Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Crescent Convalescent Center. She was born April 18, 1920 to Frederick and Mollie (Koch) Horst in Walla Walla, WA and was raised in the Yakima area.
She was an active member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church and always attended bible classes. Throughout Irene’s life, she enjoyed fishing, gardening, knitting, crocheting, softball and dancing. She was a longtime employee of Safeway as a clerk.
Irene is survived by her niece, Betty Sullivan of Ocean Pines, MD; a great-niece, Sheila (Mark) Willis of Annapolis, MD; great-nieces, Erin Marie (Rob) Kevan of Fairfax, VA and Kerrie Ann (Frank) Haas of Loveland, OH; nephew, Ronald C. (Sandy) Eisenbeis of Gross Point, MI; great-niece, Lisa (Christopher) Hugan of Canton, MI; great-nephew, Eric (Alison) Eisenbeis
of Canton, MI; cousins, Alvine & Bill Horst of Yakima and numerous other great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Mollie Horst, both husbands, Leland Templin and Harvey Burke, two brothers, Edward and Fred Horst Jr. niece, Marion Taylor, nephew, Calvin Dugger and great
nephew, John J. Sullivan III.
