Jim Harold Purdin was born to Harold and Lenore Purdin on May 23, 1934 in Yakima, Washington.
Jim graduated from Yakima High School in 1953. On December 29, 1953 he married Sharon Love and were celebrating 57 years of marriage this year. Jim joined the Air Force after high school and served until 1960. he then worked as a printer for the Yakima-Herald Republic until his retirement in 1999.
Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, and owned many dogs throughout his life. Jim is survived by his wife Sharon; three daughters, Debbie Mathews of Lakewood, WA., Teri Richardson of Vancouver, WA., and Susan Sampson of North Pole, AK.; a sister, Patricia Wallace of Olympia, WA.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements and care are under the direction of Keith & Keith Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to the funeral home.
