Joe Dale Parsley

Joe Dale Parsley, 76 passed away Friday, May 19th, 2023 at his home in Tieton, WA. Joe was born on June 1st, 1946, in Harrison, AR to Adam & Johnnie Parsley. He was raised in Lead Hill, AR, moving to Cowiche, WA in 1956. Joe married Cathy Cornett in 1966. They were married for 57 years.

Joe worked for Valley Evaporating for 21 years, and Strand Apples for 26 years. He was Cowiche Sewer Commissioner, President of the Cowiche Water Association and a member of the Cowiche Fire Department for 25 years.

Joe enjoyed playing softball, coaching little league, Highland basketball, breakfast with his classmates, calling friends and making new ones, and trips to the Oregon Coast.

Joe is survived by his wife Cathy Parsley, son Dan Parsley, son Joey (Robin) Parsley, grandsons Ashton (Malorie) & Bryce (Sadie) Parsley, Neil (Melissa) & Kyle Gurule, one sister, Peggy Rippee and four great-grandchildren. Joe was preceded in death by his mother & father, sisters Nelda Parsley & Norma Fordahl, and brother James Parsley.

Celebration of Joe's life will be July 15th at the Highland High School Auditorium at 10:00 AM, followed by a potluck lunch at the Parsley residence at 611 Hatton Road, Tieton, WA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Highland Fire Department.
