Hi, Clifton Family~ I think of John and all of you often. Several different things bring John to mind as the days go by. John will not be forgotten...no one can replace the "friend-spot" I have for him in my heart always. Smile on, Johnny....

What a special tribute to John's memory involving his very special vehicle in the services.  I continue to look at all the photos.  They help me feel closer to all of you during this time of grieving.

My thoughts and prayers are with you as you are preparing to say your final earthly goodbye in a short while.   Your special memories of John will help ease the pain you are suffering now.  

Bill enjoyed him so much and always referred to him as Grizzly Adams.  I will remember him as a fun loving, compassionate person.    

I can't be with you personally during the services this afternoon but I will be thinking about you.    May God bless you and comfort you.

John was a good friend, and have had many good visits, and some camping trips together....one trip especially up in the Cascades....always good hearted and nice to have as a friend. Will miss him. Rick Stach

Wow I will mill miss him so much... he was my jokester and I had a nick name for himm it was scarey hairy john lol...he loved it cause only I called him that....I'm sad.

I'm thinking of John's family and friends as they meet today to pay tribute to John.  I wish I could be there with you.  I think if John could speak to us today, he'd say, "Remember me, but move on with your life as you were created to do--glorify God."  May God bless all of you.

My heart is so saddened to hear of John's passing. I am so sorry for your pain and loss of such a special guy.  John meant so much to any one who knew him. I remember his smile, laughter,  hugs, jokes and quips in Bible class. He was always so good to Don and I. When I make pizzelles at Christmas I think of John as, he would always asked your Mom if she could get "extra" when I brought theirs over. We loved you kids like you were ours and your Mom and Dad loved our girls like they were theirs. I am so very sorry...

How ironic that one so loved was taken from this earth on Valentine's Day. The angels said "come on John, your work here is done" They picked him up in their arms and began the last journey.    After all the hugs and kisses and "welcome home John" I can hear Aunt Darlene say, "Come on John" I have no-bake chocolate cookies ready for you. So many will miss his wonderful smile and gentle ways. Our deepest sympathy.

At these times no words can take the pain away of such a sudden loss, but know you all are in our thoughts and prayers. Looking back on all the memories I have of cousin John, two things are constant...His contagious laughter and his warm hugs. No matter how much time had passed between our visits, I could always count on those two things. His memories are the legacy of love. May happy memories carry you ALL through this sorrowful time. Love you all ~

I will miss Johns company at Harolds every morning for coffee.He always had a story to tell.He will be greatly missed by all of the crowd.

Ron, Marla, Judy and Rinda~ Words can not adequately express the shock and sorrow I feel after reading the article in the Yakima paper of John's passing. I am so very sorry you have lost this gentle, kind and genuinely sweet man.  John was always the one guy I knew my entire life that always treated me the same.  John was always the kind of guy I wanted to marry.  I thought he would be a terrific Husband and Dad. I still think of John when I see one of those big ole' pale blue trucks on the road down here.  He would always drag me across the seat trying to help me get up in it.  John and I had some fun times. His smile and good heart will live on forever.  John loved you guys and your Mom and Dad so much.  Treasure that.

We will truly miss John's visits to Montana to get that big elk.  He has been coming here for a long time and we enjoyed his laugh and stories.  He was always a pleasure to have around.  We are so sorry for his unfortunate accident.  Life doesn't always seem fair.  Our sympathy goes to all his family and friends.  He will be missed.

Several have already said what I feel so deeply, "Who DIDN'T love John?"  People were so important to him and he always had a big hug and a smile ready.  Marla, Ron, Judy and Rinda - I love you guys and I'm so sorry.  John made the world a happier place.  He will not be forgotten.

John always had a good word af advice for me when i needed it.  I learned a lot from John.  I will miss him and think of him always.

Although our visits were few amd far between, when I did see John his big teddy bear hugs were so heartfelt.  I know that Floyd and Darlene and aunts and uncles are now getting those hugs.  I am so proud to call John my cousin.  Marla, Ron, Judy and Rinda you are so lucky to call him your brother. One of the best trips I made to Yakima was with Cath and we went to see John and only John.  It was so much fun and now is so special.  Some day when we all see John again we might share it with all the cousins.

We are going to miss you, you never missed a family time together with us when we came to visit.  This is so hard for all of us to believe you are gone.  Thanks for all the great memories we've shared over the years. I know how you loved your nieces and nephews and all the little ones, they will miss your kind gentle ways. John was a good man!  I'm proud to say he was my cousin.  He left us far too soon, and we will all miss him forever.  May God grant all John's family and friends comfort and peace of mind as they process their grief.  We will hold John always in our hearts; his memory will not leave us.

We made our home in Harrah for 25 years and hardly a day went by that we didn't exchange friendly waves with John. His was a ready smile and he will surely be missed.  We will be praying for family and friends,
