

John Henry Weber, one day short of 96 years old, passed away in Yakima on Friday October 11, 2013. John was born in Zeeland, North Dakota on October 12, 1917 to Christian and Emelie (Nathan) Weber. He graduated from 8th grade at Willow Lawn Elementary School in Gromore, Washington. In his youth he participated in rodeos, riding broncos and bulls. He was very involved in The Tieton Irrigation District, Sno Kist, Tree Top and The Yakima Conservation
District.
He married Ruby Irene Bargenquast on December 23, 1941. He enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, gardening, hunting, fishing and working on the family ranch. John loved to travel, especially his most memorable cruise to Alaska. Much of John’s life was centered around activities with his son Dennis (Denny) who was born December 17, 1944.
John is survived by sisters, Anita Costin of Yakima, Tilly Williams of Yakima, Betty Laidler of Union Gap; brothers, Eugene (Jean) Weber of Buckley, Edwin (Mona) Weber of Spokane and Randall (Pat) Broeckel of Vancouver. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Virginia Weber of Yakima and numerous nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ruby Weber, son Dennis Weber, brother Milton (Belva) Weber, brother Al (Dott) Weber and Wally Weber.
Visitation will be on Monday October 14, 2013 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Keith & Keith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday October 15, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the West Valley Missionary Church on Wide Hollow road. Concluding services and burial will follow in the Tahoma Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the West Valley Missionary Church, Yakima Humane Society or Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital Hospice.
