Juanita was born on January 22, 1937 to Samuel & Ruby Yost in Hutchinson, Kansas. She was the second eldest of five children.
On August 4, 1956, she married Marvin Wagner. Marv and Juanita built their home with the help of Ben and Pauline Wagner (Marv’s parents) in the West Valley area where they raised their three daughters.
She was employed from 1965 to 1976 at Moore Business Forms and then as an administrative assistant for Yakima County Division of Community Services where she retired in 2000.
She remained very active during her retirement. She loved to shop, especially antiquing and flea markets. She was always looking for the perfect piece of furniture, lamp or rug. Juanita cherished the weekend trips visiting her daughters and special luncheons with close friends and family.
Juanita’s true love was gardening. Her beautiful yard and garden stood out in any neighborhood. If you admired any plant, she was more than happy to give you a start for your own garden.
Our Mom was a beautiful lady who moved through life with love and grace. She will be greatly missed by many.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Ruby Yost, brother Bob and sister Doris. She is survived by her daughters Jacki Landis (Lyle), Sheri Lockbeam (Robert), and Brenda Wagner, brothers Richard and Gene Yost, grandsons Corey Lockbeam (Kara), Matt Lockbeam (Heidi) and three great-grandchildren, Sierra, Benjamin, and Titus Lockbeam.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 29th at 1:00 p.m. at Rainier Memorial Center, 2807 Terrace Heights Drive in Yakima.
