Judy Juanita Eaton

Ms Eaton retired from the Selah School District after 30 years as a PARA Professional. Throughout her career she formed many long, enduring friendships with co-workers. She treasured her job working with special needs children. She also worked for DSHS and had long term clients that she cared for and cherished.

Judy truly enjoyed playing the guitar, her mother’s organ, and writing songs. She loved spending time in the mountains at the family cabin; fishing and watching the river go by, along with floating the Yakima River with friends. Judy was quite an accomplished woodcarver as well; her favorite subjects were beautiful birds.

She also looked forward to planning class reunions for Highland Scotts with her lifelong friend Nadine Groenig/Stillwaugh.

Survivors include two daughters Lori Johnson of Yakima, WA. Shari Johnson of North Bend, WA. Two sisters Barbara Bobby McLemore of Prosser, WA. Gale (Pat) Vachon of Yakima, WA and a brother Dale Patterson of Naches, WA. Nieces Julie Schlaman, Tonya Stone. Nephews Tom McLemore, Robert McLemore and Matt Vachon, along with many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Dawson and Jean Patterson of Tieton, WA.

Her protective nature made people respect her, she will be missed by family and friends that loved her dearly, especially her spoiled pets that she referred to as her “kids”.

Visitation and viewing will be tonight at Keith & Keith Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Graveside services will be conducted tomorrow Wednesday August 21, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
