Julia Weron, age 90, was called home to her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Fieldstone Orchard West. Julia was born on August 17, 1927 in Roscoe, SD to Valentine and Katherine (Goetz) Roth. She married Leo Weron on October 13, 1947 in Roscoe, SD. The family moved to Grandview, WA in 1952, then to Yakima, WA in 1966.
Julia worked for many years at Snokist Cannery in Yakima until her retirement in 1989. Julia and Leo were married for 53 years before his death on December 14, 2000. Julia was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She was a very avid Mariner fan and rarely missed a game. In her younger years she enjoyed dancing polkas and waltzes and even when her knees were failing in her 80s she would still give it her best try. As a family, Julia made sure Bingo was a holiday tradition and she was excited to learn there was Bingo at Fieldstone and her first time participating she won two rounds.
Julia is survived by her four children Kathi Lindberg (Jeff) of Marana, AZ, Del Weron (Terri) of Gig Harbor, WA, Carol Fredericksen (Greg) of Gig Harbor, WA, and Angie Richardson (Craig), of Yakima, WA; six grandchildren, Tamra Storer, Valerie Lindberg, Jason Weron, Ryan Wistort, Craigen Richardson, and Ashley Richardson; and two great grandsons, William and Joseph Weron.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the devoted staff at Fieldstone Orchard West for the exceptional care to our mother. She felt very loved and comforted. Heartlinks Hospice was incredibly supportive to our mother and the family and we offer our deepest thanks. A special thanks to mother’s neighbors, Jerry Kostelecky, Doug and Carol Mattingly, and Patsy and the late Duane Stone, who faithfully and lovingly shoveled snow and delivered her paper, and were her friends. We will not forget your kind deeds.
Julia, our dear mother, you will be deeply missed and we look forward to being reunited with you in heaven.
