Justin graduated from Davis High School and went on to become a well-known DJ in the community. Known by many as “Twinky” “DJ Doughboy” or “your favorite DJ,” Justin built a reputation for bringing people together through music and creating unforgettable moments wherever he went.
A passionate Seattle Seahawks fan and lover of wrestling and sports, Justin’s energy was unmatched. Whether he was hyping up the 12s before a Seahawks game, working a Mariners training camp event, volunteering his time with the Special Olympics, or DJing weddings and local venues, he gave everything he had. He took pride in his craft and in making every event memorable.
Justin may have been known as the loudest and most confident person in the room, but to those closest to him, he was fiercely loyal and always showed up when it mattered most. If you were part of his circle, he was your biggest cheerleader—even if it meant getting kicked out of Davis basketball games back in the day. If you know, you know.
He was also known for his selflessness and courage, never hesitating to help those in need—even running into a burning home to guide an elderly couple to safety. Justin was truly one of a kind.
He is survived by his siblings Brandon, Jason, Deven, Nicholas, and sisters Trisha and Samantha. He is also survived by family not by blood but by heart, including the entire Cobane family, Heather Surginer and her boys, Blaine and Riley, along with many others who know the special place they held in his life.
Justin was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia “Patti” Surginer and his dad Kyle Don McBride, along with other beloved family members. He shared a special bond with his mother, who was deeply loved.
Justin’s presence left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His energy, loyalty, and spirit will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
A celebration of life will be held on June 28th from 4:00–8:00 PM at The Past Time in Selah. Bring your stories and help give Justin the send-off he deserves. Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite Seahawks gear and be loud—let’s make sure he can hear us cheering him on.
