Karen Kaye Patten

A beloved mother, grandmother and friend passed away on July 7th, 2019. Karen was born on December 5th, 1941 in Joplin, Missouri, to Ivan and Opal Connelly. At a young age they moved to Hood River, Oregon where she was raised. Shortly after college she moved to The Dalles, Ore. where she had her only child, Robert James Connelly. After a short stay in Spokane she moved to Yakima in 1981, which she called home. She made many friends while working at the Red Cross and New Vision. She leaves behind her son Robert Connelly, her grandchildren Valerie and Cara Connelly and their mom Kelly Connelly, along with her nephew Chris (Laurie) Connelly. She was preceded in death by her parents Ivan and Opal Connelly, her brother Mike Connelly, and her niece Shawn Conner. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers please tell your family you love them. (Love you, mom.)

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 20th from 12 PM to 2 PM.
