Kimberly "Kim" Lane Patterson (Smith)

Kimberly Lane Patterson (Smith), age 62 of Lynnwood, Washington went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 28th, 2019. Kim was born Thursday, May 10th, 1956 to Gerald “Jerry” and Norma Smith at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Yakima, WA.

She was the proud big sister of Craig and Mark. Kim graduated class of 1974 at Selah High School and obtained her AAS in Radiologic Technology at YVCC. After graduation, she moved to Seattle to start her career. While working as a CT Tech at Harborview Hospital a chance encounter in front of a Coke machine led to her meeting the love of her life, a young handsome Engineer, Kerry Patterson. Kim and Kerry married July 11th, 1987 at Selah Covenant Church. Two years later on November 17th, 1989 she gave birth to twins, Rozlyn and Robert. Due to multiple health issues, it was necessary for Kim to retire early.

In retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her children and family along with crocheting, sewing, and crossword puzzles. Throughout her struggles, she maintained a positive attitude and brought much joy and comfort to those that she met and loved. She will be sorely missed by all.

Preceding Kim in death are her father, Jerry, and brother, Craig Smith. Kim is survived by her loving husband Kerry, twin children Rozlyn and Robert Patterson, mother Norma, brother Mark and sister-in-law Tracy Smith. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, a sister-in-law, Becky, and brother-in-law Kurt and numerous cousins.

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 9th, 2019 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Keith & Keith Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be at Terrace Heights Memorial Park on Friday, May 10th, 2019 at 2:00 pm, followed by a Memorial Service at Selah Covenant Church at 5:00 pm.
