

Louis C. BICKNELL, 74, of Yakima, Washington passed away Thursday July 15, 2021. He was born February 23, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio the son of the late Emmett & Mary (Hales) Bicknell. Louis Bicknell was born Louis Szana and was orphaned at the age of 2. He attended schools in the New Carlisle, Ohio area. He served in the United States Army from 1968 to 1972 in the Vietnam War and later served with the Army Reserve’s 656th Transportation Company in Springfield, Ohio for 14 years. He ran an upholstery business and supported Harvey Gilman Aircraft Sales for many years in the New Carlisle, Ohio area. Later he worked in many roles in trucking until his retirement in the Yakima, Washington area. He attended the Bethel Community Church of the Nazarene, Medway, Ohio for many years. He is survived by his children, Amanda, Candice and Greggory; sisters, Lois and Wanda; grandchildren, Antonio, Arrian, CJ, Cori, Dominick, Mia and Nate; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Doris; sister, Lynda and brother, Lowell. Visitation will be held 11a.m. - 2 p.m. Thursday July 22, 2021 at KEITH AND KEITH FUNERAL HOME, Yakima, Washington. Funeral services with full military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
