Marcine Allan passed away peacefully on her birthday, January 2, 2023 in Yakima, WA at the age of 89.
T. Marcine Fuller was born in Twin Falls, ID on January 2, 1934. She spent most of her early childhood in California along with her eight brothers and sisters. Returning to Twin Falls, she began work at an early age in the medical field where she took care of polio patients and later assisted in labor and delivery. It was in 1953 when she met and married the love of her life, Charles “Chuck” Allan. They welcomed their son Robert and later their daughter Cindy.
Shortly after Robert was born, they moved to Olympia, WA. Marcine began working at the Washington State Department of Licensing, and later transferred to the Department of Labor and Industries where she finished her career as a supervisor. She was proud of her work and cherished the relationships she built while in the workforce.
There were many friends made throughout her life and she always found it easy to strike up a conversation. She was outgoing, kind, and genuinely interested in what you had to say. Family and friendships were very important to Marcine and she easily made friends wherever she went.
After Marcine retired in 1992, her and Chuck spent many wonderful years traveling, crossing the U.S. multiple times in their motorhome. They also enjoyed wintering in Arizona, visiting family, volunteering, and making the most of their retirement years. Marcine especially enjoyed ushering for the Los Angeles Angels during spring training. She and Chuck made many lasting memories together.
Marcine is survived by her husband of 69 years Chuck, son Robert Allan (Karen), and daughter Cindy McGill. As well as her grandchildren Kristin Lindsay (Blake), Kevin Allan (Lauren), Jack McGill (Melissa), Joel McGill (Mari) and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two siblings, Velta Andrews and Robert Fuller.
The family would like to convey a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Fieldstone OrchardWest and Cottage in the Meadow for their exceptional care and compassion. Marcine will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.keithandkeith.com for the Allan family.
