Mynor de Jesus Osorio Lemus, a proud self-taught handyman and warrior of the Lord, passed away on January 7th, 2026. He joins his beautiful and caring wife Maria De Los Angeles Osorio, born Maria De Los Angeles De La Rosa Hernandez, who passed away on January 5th, 2026, when they were both involved in a car accident while on vacation in Guatemala.
Mynor was born on May 21st, 1965, in the vibrant city of Chiquimula, Guatemala, to Enrique Osorio and Bertecina Lemus. After training with the special force Kaibiles of the Armed Forces of Guatemala in Poptún, Guatemala, he made the decision to migrate north to the United States of America, settling in Washington state. Mynor established himself as a self-taught and self-sustaining laborer, electrician, carpenter, plumber, and mechanic.
Maria was born on June 11th, 1962, in the small town of San Carlos, Coahuila, Mexico, to Juan De La Rosa and Maria Esther Hernandez. After residing with her family in the border town of Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, she settled in Washington state. Maria met Mynor when they crossed paths looking for a house to reside in.
Winning over her and her five children, Mynor’s devotion to Maria led to their marriage on March 22nd, 1997, in Yakima, Washington. From there, they resided in Yakima and became devout Christians, caring for each other’s spiritual wellbeing.
Mynor was devoted to the word of the Lord, making sure to live each day in accordance with His teachings, so much so that he became a well-respected figure in many circles throughout the state of Washington and the country of Guatemala. After highlighting, memorizing, and preparing many scriptures and teachings, Mynor held bible studies, led prayer sessions, and spoke at congregations as a guest pastor throughout the second half of his life.
Maria’s life was full of love. Love for her family, love for those in need, and love for the word of the Lord. Her favorite parts of life always involved community. Her warm and kind energy, her wonderful cooking, and her delightful singing always provided a sense of warmth, safety and appreciation of being in her presence.
Maria was both humble and a unifier. She was known for bringing people together with a smile and genuine empathy. She was a social phenom, instantly improving the mood of those around her. She had an infectious laugh that compelled others to laugh with her.
She was known for being generous to anyone, giving to people regardless of merit, extending mercy and grace. Her open-door policy meant she served countless dinners and prayers. Her friends and family all have stories of how she supported and encouraged people at their lowest so that they recovered and grew. Over the decades in Yakima, she volunteered at countless events. She believed it was better to give than to receive, but if she received a gift, no matter how small, she got excited and saw it as a blessing from God.
She had a green thumb and a deep appreciation for nature and beauty. With each passing year, more trees, flowers, rose bushes, and other plants flourished under her care and her husband’s. Tending the earth was an act of love they shared, cherished, and enjoyed together.
She had a heart that loved singing and praising God. She started her day in God's presence with her morning devotion. Spending time with God was her foundation for a fresh, blessed start to her day.
She loved the Seahawks. From her minivan to her birthday parties, from oversized to small, wherever Maria was, there were Seahawks logos.
Most of all, Maria and Mynor loved their family. They are survived by their nine children Esther, Mayra, Joanna, Jim, Esna, Jason, Jonathan, Jesse, and Joyce, three children they loved as their own, 30 grandchildren, and a great-grandson.
