Medardo "Joe" Morales

Joe is preceded in death by, his mother, father, Marina and Eucebio Morales, his brothers Jessie and Clemente Morales, his sisters Frances, Vickie, Tina, and Helen; as well as his son Kelly Joe Morales.

He was born and educated in Fort Worth, Texas. He migrated to Washington in 1950; pursuing his career as an entrepreneur, as a businessman and active politician fighting for Hispanic rights.

Joe is lovingly remembered by his brother Louie Morales of Wapato, WA, his children, Tony Jamie-Morales of Spokane, WA, Rick Morales of Seattle, WA, Tessie Shabazz of Houston, TX, Karen Jo Morales of Rohnert Park, CA, Annalecia Morales of Arlington, WA, Ana Morales of Auburn, WA, Blanca Morales of Auburn, WA, Manuel Morales of Yakima, WA, and Amanda Morales of Gresham, Oregon; as well as sons-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was actively involved in St. Joseph’s Parish.

The family will have the rosary at Keith and Keith Funeral Home in Yakima, WA, at 4 pm on Sunday, June 12th, 2016. Services will be held at 10 am on Monday, June 13th, 2016 at St. Joseph’s (212 N. 4th St., Yakima, WA 98901). Resting place Wapato Reservation Cemetery.
