Neil was born to Alfred Salset and Dorothy Stone, April 10, 1920, in Aberdeen WA. Neil served in the Army and Air Force and was a veteran of two foreign wars.
He married the love of his life, Catherine Mary Keely and enjoyed 54 years together.
Neil made his career at Consolidated Freightways for 38 years. He was a member of Kiwanis, 4th degree Knights of Columbus and the local VFW#379 and American Legion Post#36. He enjoyed volunteering for countless charity events especially for his parish, Holy Family.
He also loved spending time at Ocean Shores by his home town and after retirement in Palm Springs with Catherine.
Neil is survived by his Son Loren and Nancy (wife) Salset and daughter Roseann Salset both of Yakima, WA, 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service Friday April 18, 2014 at 10am Keith & Keith Funeral Home.
