Perla Marquez Ramos, age 44, passed away on July 27, 2025, in Yakima, Washington. Born on March 5, 1981, in French Camp, California, Perla lived a vibrant and deeply connected life rooted in family, faith, and hard work.
Perla was the beloved daughter of Elizabeth and Victor Marquez and grew up alongside her brother Victor Jr., with whom she shared a joyful and adventure-filled childhood. Many of her fondest memories were made at her grandmothers home, especially at the beach house in Tijuana. She also spent countless days with her cousins by the lake or enjoying time together during school. Holidays held a special place in her heart; they meant music, delicious food, and most importantly, time surrounded by family.
A proud graduate of San Joaquin Delta College, Perla earned her Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice. Her determination and work ethic were evident throughout her career. She began at Costco in an entry-level position and steadily rose through the ranks to become part of the Human Resources team. In addition to her corporate success, she was also co-owner of a food business—a testament to her entrepreneurial spirit and dedication.
Perla’s life was centered around those she loved. She is survived by her devoted husband Paul and their three children: Jasmine, Sierra, and Xavier. Her parents Elizabeth and Victor remained a constant source of love and support throughout her life. She also leaves behind her brother Victor Jr. and sister-in-law Sabrina.
Faith played an important role in Perla’s daily life. She cherished attending services at St. Paul’s Cathedral whenever possible often before work—and frequently shared Bible verses on social media as a source of inspiration for others. A candle dedicated to St. Jude always glowed in her home as a quiet symbol of hope and devotion.
Perla had an outgoing personality that lit up every room she entered. Never shy, she thrived when surrounded by friends and family—whether out for an evening gathering or simply enjoying each others company at home. One of her most cherished traditions was collecting nutcrackers during Christmas time.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother's Josefina Vasquez and Catalina Herrera.
Perla will be remembered for the joy she brought into every space she entered, the strength with which she pursued her goals, and the deep love she gave to those around her. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
