Ronald F. Paganelli

He was born on May 13, 1935 in Yakima, WA. to Socialino and Margaret (Gallucci) Paganelli. Ron was raised and educated in Wapato, WA. graduating from Wapato High School. He attended Washington State College from 1953 – 1955. Ron married Jessie Merle Noah on September 6, 1955 in Yakima, WA. Together they moved to Seattle, WA. where Ron was employed by Boeing while he continued his education.

Ron and Jessie returned to the family farm in 1963 where he farmed in the Wapato and Mattawa area until he retired in 2006. Though he retired from farming, Ron never truly retired, he continued with property management in the Yakima and Seattle area. Ron was also a member of the N.W. Horticultural Association, the Yakima Pomological Club, and the Yakima Elks.

Ron enjoyed many things; including waterskiing, photography, airplanes, tinkering with electronics, and traveling. He treasured traveling with Jessie, his wife of 57 years, especially their trip to Italy and other parts of Europe. Spending time with family and friends was always a priority for Ron. Whether it was sharing a cup of coffee or celebrating big events, he never missed the opportunity to be with those he cared about.

Survivors include his wife Jessie; his sons, Bryan (Valerie) Paganelli of Seattle, WA. Steve (Lisa) Paganelli of Desert Aire, WA. and Christopher (Toni) Paganelli of Yakima, WA.; his grandchildren, Amber (Corey) Koniniec, Steven (Kallie) Paganelli, Justin Paganelli, Dominic Paganelli, Noah Paganelli, Adam Paganelli, and Hannah Paganelli; a great-grandson Liam; and his sister, Kathy (Barry) Wimberly of Santa Clarita, CA. He was proceeded in death by his parents Socialino and Margaret Paganelli.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Paul Cathedral on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Private interment will be at Terrace Heights Memorial Park on Tuesday.
