Roy was born to Roy Levi Roberts and Josie May (Floyd) Roberts in Prescott, Kansas on July 7, 1938. The family moved to Wyle City when Roy was four years old.
Roy worked various jobs as a young boy, then he joined the United States Navy. Roy was a laborer for many years, before becoming a cement finisher. He was hurt while on the job and became disabled in 1988.
We traveled in our R.V. for thirteen years, until Roy became ill. At that time we moved to Union Gap so Roy could be near family. Roy was loved by all who knew him.
Roy had a passionate love for Jesus. He attended the Full Gospel Church on 16th and Englewood. Roy loved his family deeply. Roy’s favorite things were babies, camp fires, RVing, fishing, singing, playing guitar, dancing and when he was younger drinking beer.
Roy is survived by his devoted wife, Mary; his sister, Peggy (Don) Swart and brother, John Roberts all of Union Gap.
His leaves behind his daughters, Peggy Cupples and Wendy (Richard) Cook. He also is survived by his step daughter, Angela (Riley) Leonard of Pasco and stepson, John (Gladys) Schuoler II of Seattle; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, four step grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.
