

Ruth was born on May 26, 1933, to Roy T. and Anna E. Webster, Ruth grew up in the Yakima Valley, a place she would call home for nearly a century.
Ruth met her future husband Sonny J. Cook while he was stationed at Camp Hanford, WA. Ruth and Sonny were married January 19, 1953, beginning a journey of love and partnership that lasted a lifetime. On October 11, 1954, they welcomed their only child David W. Cook who was their pride and joy.
She worked in a fruit warehouse with her husband Sonny and her son David.
She loved playing the fiddle and Piano and cooking. She treasured the time she spent with her husband, Sonny and their son David. Some of her happiest moments were camping and fishing with them creating memories filled with laughter and fun. She especially enjoyed their road trip adventures in their motorhome to Alabama to visit Sonny's family.
Ruth shared an unbreakable bond with her sister, Anna Mae. Whom she loved dearly. Living only a few blocks apart, the two were a constant presence in each other’s lives, sharing frequent visits and a lifetime of sisterhood.
She also leaves behind her dearest friend of over eighty-five years, Dolores Whittle, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories beginning in early childhood.

Guided by a quiet strength and a deep devotion, Ruth was a woman of profound faith who loved God and her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her relationship with the Lord was the bedrock of her life, providing her with a joyful spirit and a steady hand through every season.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Sonny J. Cook, her son David W. Cook, her sister Anna Mae Oxford, her niece Yvonne L. Webster, niece Norma (Kandi) R. Bumpaous , nephew Sean Hammons, her mother Anna E. Webster and her Father Roy T. Webster.
Ruth is survived by her niece Alyshe (David) Yeager and their children Owen, Natalie and Jemma Yeager. Her neice Shalane (Jesse) Bumpaous and nephew Austin Bumpaous. Her nephew Denny (Cheryl) Gamache and sister Joyce Miller.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 5, 2026 from 4-7pm at Keith and Keith Funeral home, 902 W. Yakima Ave. Graveside service will be Friday, March 6, 2026 at 1pm at West Hills Memorial Park.
