
Vaughn was born in Yakima to Marion and Inez Rickert on January 13, 1944. He graduated from Toppenish High School Class of 1962.
He attended Yakima Valley Community College. He started working for International Harvester as a field mechanic before working the parts counter then taking a job as parts manager at their Sunnyside Store.
He later worked for Edward's Equipment as an estimator and steel buyer. He enjoyed photography doing numerous weddings.
He was also an avid duck hunter in his younger years.
Vaughn is survived by his wife of 48 years Eda Rickert of Yakima; his brother Francis (Frank) Rickert of Olympia. He is preceded in death by his parents Marion and Inez Rickert and his twin brother Vincent Rickert.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2016 with a Rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. at Keith & Keith Funeral Home.
Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday July 20th at Holy Family Catholic Chapel with The Most Reverend William Weigand Arch Bishop Emeritus of Sacramento officiating.
Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
