Vickie Marie Lane

Vickie Marie (Tessier) Lane (62) of Yakima, passed peacefully on February 27th, 2017 holding the hands of her children Jennifer and Justin, and surrounded by her sister and grandsons, after a yearlong battle with cancer.

Her weekend was full of many loved ones who came from all over to celebrate her life, and return the love that she showed each of them unconditionally.

Vickie was born on December 5th, 1954 in Yakima, WA. She was the 3rd child of Wallace and Irene (Desharnais) Tessier.

She was a proud graduate of Davis High School in 1973 and really enjoyed her reunion trips she had recently been taking with her classmates. She would talk about the places she would visit for weeks after. She also loved reading the newspaper, doing crossword puzzles, and watching WWE. She was definitely one of their biggest fans, and would get very upset if she had to miss it!

Vickie held many jobs throughout her life, but found her calling when she became an In-Home Care Provider. This was so fitting for her because she was doing what she did best, taking care of others! She was the true picture of unconditional love and forgiveness, very spiritual, and loved the Lord. She was one of a kind, and will be greatly missed by many.

She is survived by her brother, Leonard Tessier of Spokane; sister, Theresa Higbee (Dan) of Yakima; sister-in-law, Alice Tessier of Olympia; son, Justin Lane of Yakima; daughters, Jennifer Brown (Robert) of Yakima and Lena Haushild (Duane) of Vancouver; step-daughter, Gina Scribner (Billy) of Yakima; grandchildren, Austin (Veronica), Tyler, Dallas, Houstyn, Braxton, Cassidy, Brittany (Richard), Michael, Jordan, and Journey; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Izavian, and Jaelynn, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joseph and Adriane (Dureault) Desharnais; parents, Wally and Irene (Desharnais) Tessier; brother, Leon Tessier, and sister, Cheri Tessier.
