William “Bill” C. Holland Sr., 81, passed away surrounded by his loving family on November 8, 2016 in Selah, WA. He was born one of sixteen children on July 29, 1935 in Brownsville, New York to William H. and Violet M. (Hogan) Holland.
Bill married the love of his life Nancy L. Westfall on August 15, 1965 in Syracuse, NY. They relocated to Tucson, AZ where he worked in the copper mines for several years. In 1970 they relocated to Yakima, WA. When he arrived he found work and great success as a car salesman working for various dealerships over the years. Bill later went on to own and operate his own second hand store; "Bill's Used Things."
He was a tinkerer, who enjoyed "fixing" things. He will be remembered as one who could fix just about anything if he just had the time. He enjoyed his NASCAR and his westerns as much as anything. When you came to his house, you could almost guarantee that one of those two things would be on the television. But most of all, Bill loved and adored his family who will miss him and love him forever.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Nancy; sons Patrick (Sara) Holland and Craig (Megan) Holland; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-granchild; 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
A private family service was held at Keith & Keith Funeral Home on Thursday, November 10, 2016.
