

He was born on Aug. 26, 1946 in Brazil IN to Paul and Betty (Urbain) Vogel. In San Diego, CA, Bill met and married the love of his life, Darlene. They were married 42 years. Bill served in the U.S. Navy for 30 years, serving during the Vietnam War. After his discharge, he did maintenance at the Yakima Airport, worked airport security (Olympic Security and TSA), and was a driver for Hertz Car Rental.
Bill was a very giving and caring person, who if he said he was going to do something, he made sure to get it done. He was very intuitive and always listened to what people were saying. Bill found great pleasure in just doing things for other people.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene of Yakima; daughter, Angela (Michael) Orton of Redding, CA; granddaughter, Jessica Elise Orton of Redding, CA; brothers, Jimmy R. Vogel of IN and Paul C. Vogel, Jr., of IN; and a sister, Beverly J. Vogel of IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Patricia.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6 at Keith & Keith 9th Ave Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7 at Keith & Keith 9th Ave Chapel.
Burial will be held on Thursday at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA.
