

Bill was born June 16, 1929 in Yakima, Washington. He passed away in the loving arms of his wife of 67 years, Marion Yergen.
A lifelong orchardist, Bill served in the United States Navy from 1947 until 1950. Bill served with the rank of AL3 as an aviation radio and radar operator on a P2V Neptune Patrol Bomber.
After boot camp in San Diego, CA and schooling in Jacksonville, FL and Memphis TN, he was stationed at Whidbey Island, WA and Kodiak, AL.
Bill’s lifetime passions were fishing, hunting and time spent outdoors with family and friends.
Bill is survived by his wife Marion Yergen, sons Dan (Midge) Yergen, Dave (Susan) Yergen and Tom (Karen) Yergen; grandchildren Jennifer (Jonathan) Johnson, Dr. Christopher Yergen, Heather (Edmund) Osipowicz, Amy (Aaron) Alonzo and Betsy (Todd) Kean; great-grandchildren Jessica, Jaxson, Jaiden, Journey, Ashlyn and Grace.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
There will be a time of visitation from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Keith & Keith Funeral Home. His funeral service is at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 14th at the Grace Lutheran Church, 1207 S. 7th Avenue, Yakima. Burial will follow at West Hills Memorial Park.
