Andrew Frederick Jordan Sr.

Pownal – Andrew Frederick Jordan Sr., 76, Passed away on Monday August 16, 2021. The son of Andrew Carnegie and Frances Aldene (Edwards) Jordan, he was born on March 3, 1945 in Yarmouth Maine. He attended school in a one room school house in Pownal. His school years may not have been many but his life experiences was his education. He was married to Lida Taylor, the mother of his children, before he met the love of his life, Georgette Cloutier, his second wife. He was a long time employee of Eastland Shoe in Freeport, but he really enjoyed his final career as a delivery driver for Napa Auto Parts. He loved doing puzzles, collecting baseball cards, and gardening. Above all he loved his dogs and other animals. Instead of using peoples’ first names he typically called them sweetheart, hun, darlin’, babe or kid. He loved to flirt with the girls. He was rich in love both giving it and receiving it. He had a special relationship with everybody he met. He was selfless, generous and hardworking.

He was predeceased by his wife Georgette, his daughter Anna Brown, his son Norman Jordan and his siblings.

He is survived by his sons Andrew F. Jordan Jr. and his wife Trudy of Lisbon, and Robert Jordan and his wife Nikki of South Portland, his daughter Tina Murphy and her husband Brian of Pownal, his step-children, whom he thought of as his own, Christopher, Kelly, and George “Zeke” Harris, Pamela Rawlings and Vicki Oliveira, his 24 grandchildren, his 16 great grandchildren, his brother William Jordan and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday August 28th, 2021 at 10 AM at First Baptist, 346 Main Street Yarmouth. Interment will follow in Pownal.
