

She was born on Jan. 24, 1922, in Trenton, N.J. Ann was raised in the Trenton area and graduated from Trenton High School. She married Theodore Hayes Warner in 1942 and lived also in Morrisville, Pa., and Washington's Crossing, N.J., before moving to their beloved Long Hill Farm in North Yarmouth in 1964. They spent many winters in Vero Beach, Fla. In 2005 Ann and Ted moved to Applegate, in Falmouth Foreside. Most recently she lived at the Atrium in Portland.
Ann loved to play tennis and continued playing into her 80s. She also enjoyed playing bridge and doing needlepoint. An accomplished artist, Ann showed her paintings locally. She was a very caring person who maintained lifelong friendships.
She was a member of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Falmouth, and she participated in their Garden Club.
She is survived by her daughter, Jane Warner Ditmars and son-in-law Douglas of Stuart, Fla.; daughter-in-law Sabrina Grieg Warner of North Yarmouth; grandchildren, Ann Ditmars Huyck and her husband Jonathan of Providence, R.I., Thomas Warner Ditmars of Bethlehem, Pa., Margaret Gage Warner of Wells, Jacob Burbank Warner of Lake Tahoe, Calif.; and great-grandson, Benjamin Ditmars Huyck of Providence, R.I. She was preceded in death by her son, Theodore Hayes Warner Jr.; her husband, Theodore Hayes Warner; and her parents, George and Marguerite Fleming.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 11, 2011, at 11 a.m., at the Episcopal Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Falmouth.
