Janet Peggy Harriman

Yarmouth - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Janet Moody Harriman, who departed this life on December 11, 2025. Born on February 10th, 1939, in Houlton, Maine to Katheryn (Crone) and Chester Moody. Janet touched the lives of many with warmth, kindness, and unwavering generosity.

Janet grew up in Danforth, before moving to Portland, Maine during high school. After graduating from Portland High School, she married the love of her life Theodore Harriman and pursued a career at a steel company local to Portland. Eventually working in agriculture and ending her working years as manager of Sunland Optometry on the naval base in Brunswick demonstrating dedication and a commitment to excellence in all endeavors.

Janet was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, cherishing time spent with loved ones and creating lasting memories.

Janet is survived by her beloved husband Ted Harriman, her children, Scott and his wife Janet, and Kathie and her husband Todd. 6 grandchildren, Derek (Molly) Farrington, Katelyn (Joshua) Hyde, Breanne (Michael) Smith, TJ Farrington, Shayla Harriman and Mollie Farrington. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, as well as many cherished friends and relatives.

She was predeceased by her parents Katheryn (Crone) and Chester Moody, as well as her brother Rodney Moody.

The family invites you to a time of visitation at 1:00pm immediately followed by A celebration of Janet's life on December 18th, 2025 at 2PM, at Lindquist Funeral Home,1 Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth, Maine. Family and friends are invited to attend and honor the memory of a remarkable individual.
