Mary Olive Lusth, 86, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2017 at Bel Air Health and Rehab, Bel Air, MD. She was born September 14, 1931 in Stonington, ME to Leroy Lyman and Ella (Perry) Clark, one of four children.
She grew up in Medford, MA and graduated from Medford High in 1949. She married the late Paul G Mills and had one child and later divorced. She was very proud to have completed a Nursing Assistant Program and worked at Baron Center in Portland Maine before retiring.
In 1975 she married the late Raymond L Lusth of Cumberland Center, Maine where she lived for many years. Mary was known for her quick wit, boisterous laugh, incredible birthday singing, phone calls to her friends and her impromptu jitterbug dancing. She attended Grace Bible Church in Gorham where she was involved with many activities including the homeless outreach on Friday nights. She enjoyed “puttering around” at home, planting her circle of Marigolds, growing her Swedish Ivy for which she once won a ribbon at the Cumberland fair, reading her Bible, completing word searches, and listening to her music and her favorite radio program “The Grace Hour.” She was often seen out walking in her neighborhood on her way to get her daily “Dairy Joy”. In her later years, she moved to Maryland to be closer to her family and loved that she was able to see more of her family and loved reading to her great- grandchildren.
Missing her here on Earth are her daughter Linda (Mills)and her husband Stephen Walsh of Bel Air, MD; brother Clayton Clark and his wife Linda of Poland, ME; grandchildren Jeremy, Joshua and Jahna and their families including great-granddaughters Anna, Elliana and Liesel and several nieces and nephews.
Welcoming her in Heaven are her parents, her brother and sister, Lyman and Joline, numerous friends, and especially her husband Raymond and great grandson Elijah Reid.
Visiting hours with the Family will be at Lindquist Funeral Home 1 Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth, ME on Friday November 17, 2017 from 10am until 11:30am, with Memorial Service following directly.
