Raymond W Hobbs

Born in Springfield Massachusetts to Walden and Blanche Hobbs, he was graduated from Bates College (BA) in Lewiston Maine, and from Harvard University (MBA) in Cambridge Massachusetts.

He worked for over 45 years for Gulf Oil and then Chevron Oil. He was a long-time member of Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder for many years and where he taught confirmation classes for over a decade.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Rev. Dr. William F. Hobbs and sister Carolyn Hobbs Holgerson, and his grandson James. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Nancy Clough Hobbs, his daughter Susan and her husband, Barry, his son David and his wife, Gretchen, and grandchildren Christopher and Sarah. He also leaves his sister-in-law, Barbara Hobbs and many nieces and nephews.
