Bob enjoyed gardening - vegetables and fruit; woodworking – mostly furniture using oak or recycling what was available and making wood garden ornaments he would paint and give away. Bob had a very generous spirit and readily gave of his talent and time to anyone in need, could fix just about anything and simply took pleasure in being there to help. Bob also enjoyed yard sales and the art of the deal.
Driving was in Bob’s blood and he and his wife Ruth made three cross-country trips to Alaska which they greatly enjoyed. It was not uncommon for both of them to take off with their camper to go berry picking in Florida when strawberries were in season or to Georgia for peaches and canning these in the camper to take back to Maine.
