

Beloved Son, Brother, Uncle
Portland – Scott Michael Osgood, 52, of Scarborough, died at Maine Medical Center in Portland on July 3, 2011 after a brief illness. He was born in Millinocket, ME on January 10, 1959, a son of Mary (Caruso) and Richard Osgood. Scott graduated from Schenck High School in East Millinocket in 1977 and from UMO in 1981 with a B.S. in Political Science.
Scott has worked at UNUM since 1995 and was proud to be part of the Company and the work in disability insurance he did there. He displayed a kindness and compassion to clients who needed his assistance. An independent and introspective man, he frequently walked the beach at Pine Point in Scarborough accompanied by his constant companions, his two Yorkshire terriers, Jack and Andy. He loved his family and was especially close with his nieces and nephews, and was a great friend to many, namely, Peggy, Ed, Kelly, and Ron. He will be greatly missed for his wit and humor.
Scott is survived by his parents of East Millinocket; his sister Deborah Johansen and her husband Herluf and their daughter Kirsten of Yarmouth; his sister Stephanie Osgood of Millinocket and her two children: daughter Emily Cavicchi and her husband Jarrod of Rhode Island and son Jeremy Rush of Winterport, ME; his brother Richard J, Osgood and his wife Kimberly and their daughters Risha and Mia and son Addison of Dedham, ME; his brother Jeffry Osgood and his wife Sandra and their son Alexander of New Jersey; his sister Mary Kay Hallett and her husband Mark and their son Aaron and daughter Abby of Hermon, ME; his special Aunt Kay Caruso of Millinocket; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visiting hours will be on Wednesday July 6, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lindquist Funeral Home, One Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth, ME. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Scared Heart Catholic Church, 326 Main Street, Yarmouth. Burial will be in East Millinocket Cemetery.
