Barbara Colavito

Barbara Colavito, of Yonkers, passed away to go home to the Lord on Nov. 13, 2013. She was born Barbara Christina Klecanda on Oct. 20, 1931 to Bozena "Bertha" and Leopold Klecanda in NYC. She is preceded in death by her son, Anthony W. Colavito (YFD) and her husband of 55 years, Antonio Colavito, who she married on March 3, 1951 in the Bronx.

In addition to raising her 3 children, she worked at several different corporations as an executive secretary and volunteered in the local political campaigns.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Ann Felts, husband, Brion of Seattle WA; her son, Thomas Colavito, wife, Kimberly of Holden Maine, daughter in law, Leonora Colavito Williams of Colorado and her brother, Alfred Klecanda, wife, Josselyn of Rome NY and many nieces and nephews plus her little "Kitty".

Her 11 grandchildren were the light of her life, Daniel, Christian and Julee Felts; Nicholas, Billy and Tommy Colavito, Cameron Williams, and Stephanie, Anthony, Michael and Jennifer Colavito.

Memorial visiting hours will be held at Whalen and Ball Funeral Home on Wed Nov 20, 2013 from 5-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, NYC 10065.
