Carol McFarlane

Carol Ann McFarlane (nee Eliot) of CROTON ON HUDSON – FORMERLY OF YONKERS loving mother and grandmother passed away on Saturday, May 26th with her family by her side. She was born on July 11,1934 in Yonkers, NY to William and Madeline Eliot. She attended Blessed Sacrament Academy, Mark Twain Jr. High and Roosevelt High School in Yonkers .She then furthered her education in Secretarial School and worked at Continental Can in NYC, Yonkers YMCA and retired in 2005 from MaryKnoll Fathers Treasury Department. Carol Ann married James McFarlane on February 13th, 1960. They had one son, Michael. Carol Ann’s greatest love was her 2 grandchildren “Jimmy and Aileen”. She also loved knitting, especially Irish Knit Sweaters, reading, watching old movies and “socializing and lunching" with numerous friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband Jim in 1998 and her adored son Michael in 2014. Left behind to treasure her memories are her loving daughter in law Maureen McFarlane and grandchildren James and Aileen along with her beloved nieces, nephews, sister in law Theresa Connelly and numerous lifelong friends. Visitation will be Thursday, May 31 from 4-8 pm at Whalen and Ball, Yonkers, NY. A mass of Christian burial will be held 9:30 am on Friday, June 1st at St John the Baptist Church, Yonkers, NY with Msgr. Jeff Conway (cousin) officiating. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, NY. Memorial donations may be made in Carol Ann's name to Maryknoll Fathers & Brothers, PO Box 302, MaryKnoll, NY 10545
