Carrie Theret

Carrie Ann Theret of Yonkers died on Saturday November 7, 2015 at age 32. She was born on May 10, 1983 to Gerald and Kathleen (Nevin) Theret in Yonkers where she was raised and graduated from Sacred Heart Grade School; Our Lady of Victory High School and Lehman College where she received her B.A. in Psychology. Carrie was a former secretary in the Mayor’s office for the City of Yonkers. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church; she had a love of animals, especially her cats; (Disney, Rosco, Isabella and Kuma), love of kids; she was a pleasure to be around and was known as a “silly kind of girl”. Carrie is survived by her parents Jerry and Kathy Theret; her 3 sisters Geralyn (Peter) McArdle; Kim (Thomas) Lotz and Julie (Gregory) Burns; her 7 nieces and nephews Kaitlyn, Ryan, Thomas, Jake, Taylor, Liam and Lilly. She was also survived by her God-Parents Paulette and Joseph Theret, and her uncles Terry, Jamie and Michael Theret and her aunts Marley Koos, Monica Nevin and Geraldine Metrick. She was predeceased by both sets of grandparents; Helen Theret and Charles Zbrzezny and James and Monica Nevin. Visiting hours will be in the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be in Sacred Heart Church on Thursday November 12 at 9:30am. Committal services will be at Ferncliff Chapel. Donations may be made to the Yonkers Animal Shelter.
