Catherine “Jean” Carpenter (nee Breese) passed away on July 17, 2016 at age 90. Jean was born in Yonkers, New York to Frank and Loretta Breese on May 3, 1926. She graduated from Commerce high School. She married Walter “Bob” Carpenter in 1944 in Yonkers. Jean worked for many years for the City of Yonkers as a Crossing Guard. Besides spending time with her family, one of her favorite past times was playing bingo at many of the churches in Yonkers. She is survived by her seven children, Robert “Butch” of Dobbs Ferry, Judi Carpenter of Yonkers, Kenny of Queensbury, NY, Laurie Antash of Myrtle Beach SC, Debbie Cabot of Yonkers, Donald of Stony Point NY and John of Yonkers. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. A memorial visitation will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday July 21st from 7-9pm.
